[Parent-Network] Mice in Baxter Hall 3rd floor

Our son, who lives on 3rd floor of Baxter Hall, says they have been battling a mouse infestation there for the past couple of weeks, and it's only getting worse. Apparently, they are simply being handed snap-traps, which they can bait with peanut butter to try and catch the mice.  Unfortunately, baited traps will actually draw mice into their room, which is the OPPOSITE of what they want to achieve.  Are any other parents of students in Baxter hearing the same thing?  This makes no sense to me.  I expect the school to respond to this kind of problem with professional exterminators to get rid of the mice instead of handing out mouse traps, but that's not what seems to be happening.  Before I call the school to ask what's going on, I thought it might be useful to see what other parents are hearing.
