We live in Texas and Anjelica flys to and from WU so we need ideas on what to do with her fridge over the summer. Any storage places close and I mean close since she walks or takes a cab anywhere else.Thanks for responses,

 We have stored our daughter's fridge, cold-weather clothing (we live in Las Vegas NV) and school supplies at a local storage facility in Keizer--5 miles away. 
The storage facility is super clean, well lit inside, with an elevator and ample carts for rolling boxes or a fridge to an upstairs storage unit. There is weekend access and the rates seem reasonable. A student would ordinarily rent a 5' x 5', or 5' x 10' unit. I checked out a storage facility closer to Willamette, but found they didn't have an elevator, making it more difficult to climb stairs with bulky, or heavy items (like Biology, Chemistry and other reference books) 

We have used a U-Haul lock on the unit; I found it's best to keep the keys well-marked and have one on your student's keychain, with another on a parent's. It's easy for keys to get misplaced during the summer! 

Anjelica may also want to share the locker with a roommate, to save on costs. 
While I've used my Jeep--with drop down seats to carry a mini-fridge, a chair, floorlamp, bookcases, etc. to the storage unit, my daughter--having recently moved off-campus had fellow students who were willing to help move her, using their cars. A smile and some cookies (dorm backed or store bought) given to helpers is much cheaper than a vehicle rental. There are many fellow students your daughter will meet at WIllamette who are willing to lend a hand. 

Storage units go pretty fast, as I found this last year, so a call in to reserve a unit (no deposit prior to the rental is required) would be recommended. We've used A Storage Place. Take a look at your daughter's spring finals schedule, as well as her scheduled flight, and then work back with your daughter to get a date when trips to a storage facility would begin. Get their buy-in to the schedule. Packing is often-times the last thing a student wants to consider a priority, so I'd recommend being generous on the number of days to get things into storage, figuring on two or more trips, depending on what gets accumulated over time. They will need help in getting boxes for articles they wish to place in storage. U-Haul has the best collection of boxes--the smallest are the book boxes, with the next size up being the small box. 

I helped another roommate of my daughter get some items that were stored in an on-campus two-story room near Kaneko. Seeing the general disarray of items stored, I'd guess that there are items students left there a decade earlier. There is no apparent charge for leaving items there (if your student resides at Kaneko dorm) and there is very limited space available in other dorms--I believe in the basement of Lausanne.
